A little inspiration…

Some of you already know I’ve been having some creative fun with one of my Instagram accounts. For those of you that didn’t know – well, now you do!

Time is precious. Every minute that ticks by is lost forever, and it seems very sad to me to waste our precious moments doing things that don’t fulfill us.

Now, I’m not saying we can all just up and quit doing laundry or emptying the dishwasher… things still need to get done for the sake of sanity. However, I had found that I was pouring myself, and a LOT of time, into something I wasn’t truly passionate about. And I was so, SO caught up in the hubbub of competition, success, and reaching the next goal, that I was letting my precious moments pass me by and neglecting the things that mean most to me.

Inspired by my friend Morgan, one of my creative soul sisters (she makes the most ahmazing candles ever @thebarnatpostoak ), I decided to make a change.

If I’m going to spend time working on something, I want to be passionate about it and be creative. If I’m going to be creative, I want it to be with purpose. My creativity is being channeled towards, and directed by, my faith — I see it and experience it more clearly every day. Thus my new adventure, The Berry Sweet Life.

Follow me @theberrysweetlife on Instagram (I’ll update this blog with it some day soon, I promise!) for some Love, Inspiration, Grace… and a lil’ bit of coffee and wine … and plants, because life is great with those things too, right?

I want to share the light of the world with everyone, and I find that this little project of mine is a great way to do just that.

I’ll still be here, getting crafty, making and sharing and yapping.. but if you’re into that inspirational stuff like I am, come visit!

The feed is also on Facebook if you live in that world.

God Bless!

Love, NOW

So saddened by the news coming out of Las Vegas. I’m praying for the victims, their families, for the people who were there and witnessed such horror, for the people watching the videos of this nonsensical violence that will be forever changed from it, for our country, for our WORLD. Love, Now. #prayforvegas

There is SO MUCH GOING ON right now, people. It’s maddening!

Pray. LOVE. Pray. LOVE. Pray some more, and LOVE with all your heart. The world needs us.

romans 8:38

I’m drawn to Romans 8:35 right now, my prayer warriors – read with me:

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”)  No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Let that sink in when you have fear in your heart, when you worry, when your faith fades.

I came across this today, and it rang true (I giggled, of course but it is 100% accurate). That’s why we call ourselves warriors. We are indeed going to battle.

Until next time (in which I promise to deliver something crafty -This mama is itching to get her craft on!) —

Peace and LOVE and Blessings,

Dani

#grateful

It’s World Gratitude Day!

A reminder to be grateful — to give thanks for all that is good, show appreciation and reflect positively on life.

While I consider the many things I am grateful for (such as my husband, my kids, my family & friends, coffee, belly laughs and uninterrupted nap times), there is one that tops them all.

john 3:16 word art

Grateful for His love, grace and sacrifice. Even in the darkest times, I believe and trust that He is with us and his plans are good.
