Indescribable: 100 Devotions About God & Science

Indescribable: 100 (Super Cool) Devotions for Kids

Wouldn’t it be nice to find a really great devotional for kids that spoke to them at their level, and related everything they know about God to everything they know about science in a fun and engaging way?

FOUND IT!

(Read on to learn more, and you’ll have an opportunity to win one for yourself, too! )

I was recently given the opportunity to check out this new book, Indescribable: 100 Devotions About God & Science, and let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed. I love it, and the real audience (my crazy, geeky, science-loving boys) loves it even MORE. It has been such a blessing for us ever since it landed on our doorstep, and I want to share it with you so you can be blessed by it, too!

We’ve been reading it every night, and you know it’s good because they aren’t satisfied with just reading one devotional; we have to read and discuss at least 5, and they are always so bummed when it’s time to put the book down and go to bed!

Indescribable

First of all, it’s gorgeous — beautifully illustrated with bright colors, so eye-catching it is irresistible. Who wouldn’t want to open this book, it begs to be opened!

It’s even better on the inside. Each devotional is two pages, featuring scripture and a science topic that ties to that bit of scripture perfectly……

… filled with interesting facts and how it all relates to God and the reader. It ends with a lovely prayer to tie it all together.

Our favorite part is the “Be Amazed” section — from which I get a lot of “WHAT?!?” and “No Way!” responses when I read!

The author, Pastor Louie Giglio, invites kids to think about the questions they encounter in day-to-day life and to find God’s glory in creation.

Some of the topics covered:

  • Creation
  • Evolution
  • Animals
  • Dinosaurs
  • Space and the universe
  • Molecules and tiny matter
  • Medical science and medical miracles
  • Our amazing bodies
  • Geology and fossils
  • Weather and the atmosphere

This devotional is unique, engaging (so fun!), and beautifully designed — a must-have for any Christian family, and it would be a great addition to any Christian elementary school classroom, as well!

Indescribable on Amazon It is already a #1 Best Seller in Children’s Christian Prayer Books

From the publisher:

It’s impossible to out-imagine God. He orchestrates time, creates light, and speaks things into existence—from the largest stars to the smallest starfish. God is a powerful, purposeful, personal, unparalleled Creator. Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens tell the glory of God. And the skies announce what his hands have made.” Indescribable displays the majesty of creation with scientific findings, photography, and original illustrations.

Hope you enjoy as much as we do — it’s brilliant.

Blessings & Happy Holidays!
