Let your littles shine their light bright and share it with others with these fun, school-friendly valentines!
I used the square cards on Zazzle to design these valentines. They come in packs of 100, so it’s perfect if you have multiple kiddos to supply valentines for… or you could always go halfsies with a friend!
What kid doesn’t love punching holes in paper?! Yours will be excited to help put their own valentines together – they get to write their name on the cards, punch the holes, and slide in the glow sticks!
I found a large tube of LumiStick glowing bracelets (many colors to choose from!) from Amazon – you can find them here.
The back side of the cards are solid black. You can use this space to write on with a gel pen or decorate with some fun washi tape.
Hope you can your kiddos enjoy sharing your light with others!
Lies. In your head. We all have them. Don’t pretend like you don’t… you’re human, after all.
Sometimes they just pop out of nowhere and you find yourself going to The Dark Side (yes, Star Wars reference – Mom of BOYS, remember?). You get caught up in picking at and pointing out all of your so-called flaws, and forget that EVEN AT YOUR WORST, you are still loved and adored.
So this devotional caught my attention – for myself and for all of you! Sometimes you feel like you’re never enough, sometimes you feel like you’re just too much — so this devotional helps you get back to reality on both fronts (literally – it’s double-sided!).
From the publishers:
We’ve all been there. We know that sneaking, small voice in our heads all too well—you’re too loud. Too quiet. Too young. Too old. Too unimportant. Too ugly. Too silly. Too serious.
You’re not as successful as she is—look at her perfect family, look at her high-powered job, look at her great hair and size 4 skinny jeans. Why can’t you be more like her—be more in general? Why do you expect so much from everyone? Why can’t you take up less space? Ask for less? Be less?
The lies track well-worn paths in our minds and our hearts, wearing us down and making us question our role in God’s kingdom.
Jess Connolly and Hayley Morgan, bestselling authors of Wild and Free will help you replace those lies with God’s truth. This devotional flip-book is designed for you, the woman who feels like she can be both too much and not enough—sometimes in the same day. When you banish lies and insecurities and find your identity in Jesus, you can embrace these truths: You are always enough. You are never too much.
I love the topics for contemplation, they are so relatable! We have ALL had these thoughts..
… and these!
Such a great devotional to have on your nightstand to remind you that you are indeed just the way you’re meant to be.

I LOVE worship music. Lately, honestly, it is all I listen to. It lifts me up, motivates me, and reminds me that God is always with me. Somehow, the perfect song always seems to come on when I need it most, and even my BOYS will belt out a little Lauren Daigle from time to time.
So, I was super excited to get an advanced copy of the debut album from Higher Vision (local here in California!), and I’m even more excited to be able to offer you a chance to WIN your own copy of the CD!
Week after week, Higher Vision Church is packed with nearly 3,000 adrenalized God followers. The 12-year-old multigenerational congregation just outside of Los Angeles is quite diverse, and that diversity takes center stage on Higher Vision Worship’s debut album, For Your Kingdom.
“When we design worship experiences at Higher Vision, with every light that moves and every video, our focus is on Christ,” explains Higher Vision’s Sean Loche (formerly of the groundbreaking group Worth Dying For) who produced the album. “And we’re always asking, ‘How are people engaging? How do we help people feel safe and loved in the power and presence of God?’ We try be a place for people to ‘jump in the pool.’ Sometimes they want to jump full-on in — and sometimes they just want to get their toes wet.”
That same vision for Higher Vision the church was applied to the songs on Higher Vision Worship’s For Your Kingdom. “The album feels like a miracle,” says worship pastor April Ashburn. “It feels like there’s something for almost everyone. Different styles and yet a well-rounded whole.”
The songs on the album offer a wide variety of style. There are two specific songs that have been stuck on repeat in my head — “Broken the Chains” and “We Cry Holy” have such beautiful melodies, they give me chills! And yes, I do sing in my car.
But don’t take my word for it. Here’s a snippet of the title track, “For Your Kingdom”
“This little light of mine…” – and now you’re singing!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. This year we tried to really focus on the reason for the season and celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Savior. Truly the best gift ever, right?
For our friends we made these solar light jars to help remind everyone to always let their light shine bright, even in the darkest times.
They were super easy to make since the solar lids already have the lights attached to them. Logan (5) really enjoyed putting the lights in the jars and screwing the tops on, and of course testing out the lights!
I used a paper punch and a hole punch to make the tags, some cute twine to tie them on and voila! Instant night light or light for the backyard.
Found the perfect sized jars at the grocery (best deal!), and the lids come in sets of 6 on Amazon* here: http://amzn.to/2DtnoOA
Go forth and make your own – such a great gift idea… and don’t forget to let YOUR light shine bright in 2018.
