You're A-Maze-Ing Valentine by Stickelberry

Valentine, You’re A-MAZE-Ing!

How about an easy, no-candy, no-fuss Valentine for your child’s class? I have you covered my friends!A-MAZE-Ing Valentine

With very little effort, you can aMAZE your child and all of his buddies and give them something they all love — a puzzle and a pencil. I mean, the little things really get them excited at this time in their lives…. although, I tend to get excited about pencils, too. :o)

A-MAZE-Ing Valentine

I have to say, creating a maze wasn’t as easy as I expected it to be – it took way longer than I thought it would! But it was super fun making it. (<—- Geek.)

A-MAZE-Ing Valentine

I’ve made it easy this time — instead of fighting with your printer and paying for new ink cartridges (really, my printer is my nemesis), you can order these babies and have them sent to you!

A-MAZE-Ing Valentine

Then all you’ll need is a hole punch and a few minutes of time — you can even enlist your little guy or gal to help punch holes or insert the pencils. So easy!

A-MAZE-Ing Valentine

They are double sided — the side with the maze has a matte finish, while the “Happy Valentine’s Day” side is glossy like a postcard – in fact that is exactly what they are, and they are nice and sturdy.

Wrapping Paper from Zazzle

Wrap it up! Under my tree this holiday season…

Hello, my name is Danielle, and I hoard wrapping paper.Wrapping Paper from Zazzle

I bet you thought I was going to say FABRIC! Well, that too, but I really love wrapping paper almost as much. All things paper, really. The colors, the designs, the way you can make something that is blah look so beautiful with something as simple as paper…

You know how much I love gifting and wrapping presents, so Christmas presents (see what I did there?) a wonderful opportunity for me to get my creative on every year. This year in particular is going to be sweet because of the greatest find ever — wrapping paper on ZAZZLE!

Oh yeah – my favorite customization shoppe has an enormous collection of designs, some you can even personalize before you order! And we are talking all kinds of color here, not just your everyday normal red and green (though they have that too!). The quality is great, it’s very easy to fold. You can get rolls in different sizes, and you can select a matte or glossy option (I myself am a matte girl).

Here are some of my favorites — I went with some non-traditional color schemes and designs.

I’m really loving all things Navy right now, especially with white and gold…. Wrapping Paper from Zazzle

This is one of my designs! It also comes in red and teal…I love how large the print is and the Navy is just gorgeous. Navy Christmas Wrapping Paper from Zazzle

Don’t you love that faux gold herringbone print as well? You can find that one here. Navy, White and Gold Christmas Wrapping Paper from Zazzle

I love red, black and white for a wintry color scheme as well. I found these two prints and went gaga over them. Black, White and Red Wrapping Paper from Zazzle

The chalkboard printed tree is so cute! I added a felt red ribbon and a chalkboard clothespin to hold my tag. Chalkboard Tree Print

And this large format print is just SO COOL!Large Print White, Red and Black Wrapping Paper

These cute little tree round tags I found at the craft store go perfect with it! deerhead

Let’s not forget our best friends, the dogs in our life. Or the dog lovers, they’d like this wrapping paper, too! Dog Wrapping Paper for Christmas A little twine and a chalkboard tag to make it even more adorable.. Dog Wrapping Paper for Christmas

On The Farm: Cow Themed 1st Birthday Party

On the Farm: Cow Themed 1st Birthday Party

The little man recently turned a year old (!!!), so of course, we had to celebrate. Always itching for an opportunity to design and be crafty, I dove in head first and let everything else go while I was in party planning mode. I then remembered that I have a blog and that I should probably blog about it, so I had to remember to take good pictures, too! #bloggerproblems

Since I did actually think ahead this time, almost everything you see in this post is available either for purchase or as a free printable (yay!). You can find a list of products and links to their source at the bottom of this post! On the Farm: Cow BirthdayI chose a farm theme for Vaughn – his Grandpa is a strawberry farmer, and Vaughn seems to have an affinity for one of his cow toys, so I thought it would be a really cute party and super fun to plan for if we held it at Grandma & Grandpa’s house.

On the Farm: Cow Party - First Birthday

It all started with the invites. I started playing with the cow idea and drew up this cutie. The whole theme unfolded from there with the red font and cow splotches all over the place. πŸ™‚

I loved the tag shaped invite option on Zazzle, so I used that as my canvas, and opted for the natural colored paper instead of white. Much more farm-y, don’t you think?

On the Farm: Cow Party Invite

The back side of the invite has all the details for the party.

invites

When you purchase the invites, they come with plain-jane envelopes. I considered making some cute labels or something, but why go through all that effort when I can design custom envelopes! Right?

On the Farm: Cow Party Envelopes

They even have cow splotches on the inside. Hello Cuteness!

On the Farm: Cow Invite Envelopes

Once I dropped the invites in the mail I started working on all of the fun for the big day. Utilizing Zazzle’s crazy huge selection of customizable goodies, I started adding the party’s mascot to favor boxes, favor tags, paper plates, and a onesie for the birthday boy!

On the Farm: Cow Birthday Favor Boxes

How cute are these little guys?

On the Farm: Cow Birthday Favor Boxes

I really love the tags, and they come with the twine!

So my next mission was to figure out what to put in these little boxes for the kiddos that were coming to the party. Amazon to the rescue! Farm themed rubber duckies….

On the Farm: Cow Birthday Favors

I wanted a banner or bunting with Vaughn’s name on it, and decided to just make my own printable bunting, punch some holes in the triangles and string some twine through.

On the Farm: Cow Party BannerWhile I was at it, I made a couple of flags for cake toppers, and some water bottle labels (seriously, I can’t stop once I’m on a roll). All of these are available to print below!

On the Farm: Cow Party Printables

I couldn’t wait for the big day!

On the Farm: Cow Party Display

This display was inside, and Grandma and Grandpa’s house tends to be pretty dark so it was very hard to take decent pictures. The close-ups are better!

On the Farm: Cow Party - Cow CakeGood old Albertsons did an amazing job yet again with the cake! I used bamboo skewers for the cake topper flags (taped them on). I purchased a package of the red bandanas on Amazon to use for decoration and handed them out to the kids as well.

On the Farm: Cow Party - Cow Smash CakeVaughn got his own cake to dive into. And he totally did!

On the Farm: Cow Party - Water BottlesThe printed water bottle labels – they fit on both the mini and regular size Arrowhead water bottles.

On the Farm: Cow Party - Cake PlateseCake Plates!

On the Farm: Cow Party - Milk BottlesI found these milk bottles at Target in the party section, and filled them with jelly bellies (french vanilla and chocolate pudding to be exact).

On the Farm: Cow Party - Favor BoxesMilk BottlesThe favor boxes, all packaged up and ready to go!

On the Farm: Cow Party - Name BannerThe printable name banner with red and white twine. The secondary banner is from Target!

On the Farm: Cow Party - HighChair BannerI found this great chalkboard banner at Target too, along with some chalkboard pens (my new favorite). I wrote the letters and used two types of twine to string through the banner and tape on to the highchair. The highchair is very special – it’s an antique my Mom purchased years ago, and every grandchild has spent ample time in it during their baby days. Vaughn is probably the last one. Certainly from me. LOL

On the Farm: Cow Party Birthday BoyMe and the Birthday Boy! Notice his onesie? πŸ™‚

On the Farm: Cow Party Grandpa’s wagon made a great place to put the presents!

On the Farm: Cow Party Veggies first, then Cake!

On the Farm: Cow Party - Smash CakeYep. I think he likes it.

On the Farm: Cow Party Do you see the remote control in his hand? He wouldn’t put it down… and since it was his birthday, I wasn’t about to take it away from him. Sorry Mom. πŸ™‚
