A few years ago, I got to listen to this amazing speaker at my MOPS group one morning, who likened marriage to cake. Now, if you know me well, you KNOW I have a sweet tooth, so any mention of cake and I’m all ears…
The short version of the talk: How well you follow the recipe for a cake determines how your cake is going to turn out, and your marriage is the same! It’s only going to be as good as what you put in to it. I loved the visual impact of this, because she even brought two cakes — one gorgeous, yummy chocolate cake, and one that looked like a pile of lumpy goo. Everyone could relate to this concept (hello, we’ve all messed up a recipe before… oh, and it’s CAKE), and she blessed us with many tips and ideas from a Biblical perspective that we could use to improve our marriages.

Fast-forward to early this year, when a great friend of mine called and put me and that same speaker in touch to format and publish a book for that very same talk! I can’t tell you how thrilled and just honored I was to be given the opportunity to help get this amazing message from Michelle Sullivan out into the world.
As I started to dive in to formatting, of course I read the book as I worked. My eyes were opened and my heart melted at Michelle’s story, how she was inspired and CALLED to write the book, and even more, I could see how I have failed to follow the recipe for my own marriage.
What a blessing this book is — it has spoken directly to me and my marriage, and I know it will speak to yours, too. It is full of so much wisdom, references to scripture, insights on how men THINK, ways to rekindle what brought you together with your husband in the first place… we are talking some REAL content here, topics that you might blush about, but that we ALL need to read.

And as a bonus, you’ll see some of my photos of chocolate cake and even a recipe for Michelle’s famous Mud Pie at the end! (did I mention CAKE?)

Don’t hesitate, get yours today and start reading the recipe every woman needs to get their hands on. God is doing some amazing work through this gifted soul, and is going to bless so many women and their husbands through her work.
